One Piece teases a major Five Elders revelation.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Deep into the Egghead Island arc, One Piece is dropping major hints that the biggest villains of its final saga, the Gorosei aren't actually human. This sort of major twist would make the final confrontation between Luffy and these antagonists even more potentially exciting while also turning the lore of the series on its head.

In chapter #1090, translated by Stephen Paul, one of the Five Elders, Jaygarcia Saturn, tells his Navy underling to not worry about the human casualties of the upcoming battle against the Straw Hats and Vegapunk, as humans are similar to insects. "They" can always just breed and make more humans to replace the ones lost after all.

One Piece Provides Further Evidence The Elders May Be Aliens One Piece has featured various non-human races like the Fishmen and Lunarians, so the possibility of the Elders being non-human isn't as absurd as it may seem. In addition, the series has also referenced aliens, with Enel traveling to the moon and meeting the denizens there.

If the Elders are aliens, it would be a pretty wild shift in One Piece's lore, but in line with the recent sci-fi revelations concerning the Great Kingdom. It could also imply that the end of the Void century could have been caused by the advanced civilization during that time making contact with a hostile alien race. The Devil Fruits could even be related to this alien race much as the Chakra powers in Naruto were related to aliens.

One Piece Will Soon Reveal More About The Five Elders This dialogue by Saturn is by no means confirmation that the Elders are actually aliens, but it does provide a good piece of evidence for that theory. Given how masterfully Oda has executed the rest of the series, if it is eventually confirmed that the Elders are aliens then it will certainly be seamlessly integrated into the general themes and plot of the story, despite its seeming wackiness.
