Opinion: San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, City Council must fix their flawed ban on homeless camps ASAP [Opinion]
Tuesday night backing Mayor Todd Gloria’s ban on encampments of homeless people on public property — potentially the biggest crackdown on homelessness since its emergence as a major issue over the past dozen years — feels like an inevitable reaction to growing public frustration. This was illustrated Tuesday in critical comments by council members Kent Lee, Vivian Moreno and Monica Montgomery Steppe, council President Sean Elo-Rivera and the public alike.
