Brad Pitt wins his first acting Oscar for supporting role in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'
USA TODAYThe 92nd annual Academy Awards brings to a close yet another awards season, one in which the main acting categories are led by performers who've run roughshod over their competition.Having swept through awards season already are"Joker" star Joaquin Phoenix ,"Judy" thespian Renee Zellweger ,"Once Upon a Time" stalwart Brad Pitt and"Marriage Story" scene-stealer Laura Dern .
The first award of the night, supporting actor, goes to Brad Pitt for Quentin Tarantino's"Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It's his first acting Oscar."Wow," he says,"This is really incredible. Thank you, Academy, for the his honor of honors." He gets a little political, saying his 45 seconds is 45 seconds more than John Bolton had to speak at President Trump's impeachment trial.
