More than 100 students walked out of a class at Harvard University Tuesday. Their exit was a united protest of the course's professor, who was previously put on unpaid administrative leave following multiple sexual harassment claims.
In the first few minutes of professor John Comaroff's course, the students stood up and walked out. They chanted “Justice for survivors” and “No more Comaroff, no more complicity,” according to the Harvard Crimson. The students also placed signs around the building that Comaroff teaches in. The signs read, “abusers have no place on campus” and “Stop protecting sexual predators.” Comaroff teaches African and African American studies and Anthropology.

Three anthropology students accused the professor of sexual harassment in a lawsuit last year — one student claimed Comaroff repeatedly kissed her without permission.
“The results have been devastating: Professor Comaroff and his enablers have destroyed the educational opportunities and careers of countless students,” it continued.Comaroff has refused to resign despite urging from students and faculty. He claimed he was not a danger to students taking his course, his lawyers told the Harvard Crimson. The lawsuit is still ongoing in the District of Massachusetts federal court.
