Presidential aspirant and Senator MannyPacquiao has promised to probe alleged corruption and extrajudicial killings (EJK) under the Duterte administration if he wins the May 2022 elections. Eleksyon2022
In an interview with broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez aired on Saturday, Pacquiao was asked about the issues he plans to investigate involving the current administration.
The Senate blue ribbon panel’s draft report said President Rodrigo Duterte has betrayed the public trust with his actions related to the government's controversial multi-billion-peso supply contracts with Pharmally. Asked if one's educational background was important when seeking public office, Pacquiao said, “Bawat election pinagmamalaki ang diploma at degree nila pero ano nangyari sa atin nagkandahirap tayo, nagugutom ang sambayanang Pilipino. Kailangan yung education background basta may puso ka importante yun.”
Pacquiao also stated that he will not reopen the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant, but instead construct a new nuclear power plant to help the country's economic development.
