The Pan Niger Delta Forum has expressed the need for the forensic audit report of the Niger Delta Development Commission to be subjected to further interrogation to reveal the credibility of the report.

While the exercise began early in 2021, the report was received by the President through the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, by the then Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, in September of the same year.

However, more than a year after the submission of the forensic audit report, the document had not been released or made public. But the PANDEF National Publicity Secretary of PANDEF, Ken Robinson, while reacting to the matter in an interview withHe explained that though the forensic audit was a well-thought idea by the President, it had been used as a tool against perceived political enemies and to silence some strong voices in the Niger Delta region. All rights reserved.
