Investigators said the baby was suffocated hours before he was taken to the hospital in November 2018.
A mother and father have been arrested on murder charges in connection to the 2018 death of their 4-week-old baby, Harrisburg police said.
Police said the investigation into the death of the couple’s son has been ongoing since November 2018. An affidavit of probable cause alleged the following: Court documents said hospital medical staff immediately jumped into action to try to save the boy’s life. Robbins and Witten did not show any emotion during this time, or after they found out their son was dead, according to the affidavit.
The Dauphin County Coroner’s Office said the baby died of complications of asphyxia. The manner of death at first was ruled undetermined, then changed to homicide.
