Courtney Stewart went down after a collision in the 10th minute with Rangers' Laura Rafferty and suffered a seizure. But she was still waiting for an ambulance after the final whistle had blown.
A Partick Thistle football player was forced to wait for hours until an ambulance arrived after she suffered a horrific head injury on the field.
Jane Lewis of BBC Scotland reported she had “still not been taken to hospital” despite calls for an ambulance to attend. The injury took place at 2.10pm, and staff frantically tried to keep Courtney awake and conscious in the dressing room until the ambulance finally arrived at 5.15pm. “It’s a really serious head injury and my players in there still waiting for an ambulance. That seems quite unacceptable.
