Patrick and Brittany Mahomes brought their son Patrick ‘Bronze’ Mahomes to his first game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, September 24
After his son’s birth, Patrick opened up to reporters during his weekly news conference in Kansas City about how the pair landed on Bronze’s unusual nickname.Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews’ romance gives Us all the feels — starting with their high school sweetheart beginnings. The couple started out as two friends in Texas who went to school together. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback became close with Matthews in 2011 when he was just a freshman at Whitehouse High School.
“My brother Jackson [Mahomes], whenever we were trying to find something that was a little unique and different, he said, ‘What about Bronze? It fits perfect with Sterling,’” Patrick said. “It works out well. He can have his own thing now where he’s not Patrick, he’s Bronze, even though he’s Patrick. And, Sterling and Bronze can have that connection moving forward.”, which followed Patrick during the 2022 NFL season.
