MANILA, Philippines – A one-day break between games proved insufficient for San Miguel Beer to prepare for their match-up against TNT KaTropa in the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup finals, and they paid for it dearly in Game 1.
"Physically and mentally… we're not yet able to recover from the exhaustion that we got from our series in the semifinals," he admitted. San Miguel point guard Chris Ross lamented how they were unable to even just come up with a game plan to try and limit TNT. Ross did acknowledge that the quick turnaround between their games was "the nature of the business," and the Beermen stressed that exhaustion or lack of preparation was no excuse.
