The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has admitted that his party is corrupt, but noted that the ruling All Progressives Congress is more corrupt than the PDP. Atiku during an interview with Voice Of America aired on Friday also said Nigeria fared better under the PDP than the APC. The PDP was in government between 1999, when Nigeria returned to democracy after years of military rule and 2015. Incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC won the presidential election in 2015, ending the PDP’s 16-year grip on power.
