PETALING JAYA: It will be an anxious wait for Pearly Tan – she will only know the extent of her knee injury in a couple of days due to Covid-19 standard operation procedures (SOP).
Pearly injured her left knee during the second round of the Japan Open with partner M. Thinaah last week.
“We are not going to delay this as the MRI would reveal the nature of her injury where we can plan the treatment, rehabilitation and recovery.“She is moving around although not as freely as she would have liked but sometimes, that’s not the best predictor of how bad the injury is. The biggest concern is the risk of suffering the dreaded ACL injury which has cast an end to many athletes’career.
