Speaking of which, food donations and distribution was the second most popular charitable cause in the country as exemplified by the findings in states such as Washington and Montana.
Interestingly, though, in looking to see whether there was a correlation between the search volume of a charity and its revenue, the study found that there were some discrepancies. “While some patterns exist, it’s clear that money is not the ultimate indicator of a charity’s popularity,” it elaborates. “For example, the American Heart Association is the top-searched organization, but ranks #36 in terms of revenue,
