The bill was introduced by Sen. Mike Regan, who represents parts of Cumberland and York counties.'The state requires students to attend school, so it has a responsibility to ensure their safety during school hours,' Regan said in a news release. 'My bill would ensure schools, teachers and students are less vulnerable to an attack.'The bill now heads to the full Senate for consideration.
