The trend actually originated from an anti-vax perspective, with the original tweeter attempting to demonstrate how good life was without masks.But because the genius minds of Twitter are on team"safety first in the midst of a global pandemic," they've instead morphed the trend into a nostalgic rabbit hole, sharing their favorite memories from America's past.
