Victim was said to be in critical but stable condition following shooting Friday
CONCORD – A person was in critical but stable condition after being shot while trying to intervene in a robbery Friday at the Sun Valley Mall in Concord, police said.
The shooting was reported at about 3:45 p.m. on the lower level of the mall, the Concord Police Department said in a news release. Officers arrived at the scene to find a single victim, who was taken to an area hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound. A preliminary investigation revealed the victim was shot while trying to help a robbery victim, police said.Donna Piper said she“There was blood all over the floor,” the Martinez resident said in an interview Friday.Related Articles
