The public in Saskatoon only learned about a shooting, a stabbing and four incidents involving youth, weapons and violence on Monday.

Saturday afternoon, police located a victim of an alleged beating in hospital. He said he had been beaten and robbed of his backpack by about 15 to 20 children and youth, some of whom he knew. Charges are expected.

And Sunday at 4:14 p.m., police received a call about multiple “kids” carrying machetes, bear spray and possibly a gun in the Mount Royal neighbourhood.
