Planning & Systems Support Engineer on behalf of a Centurion based FMCG manufacturing concern.Experience in production planning, system optimization or manufacturing supportExperience with Azure SQL databases for managing manufacturing dataOverview of position The Planning & Systems Support Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and upgrading software and databases across our manufacturing facilities.
This role requires a deep understanding of production processes, lean management principles, and FMCG operations to optimize scheduling, improve efficiency, and enhance system controls.Maintain and upgrade production planning software and databases for seamless operations.Develop Python-based scripts to automate reporting, data analysis, and system processes.Utilize Power BI to create dashboards for real-time tracking of production, stock levels, and process efficiency.Production Planning & SchedulingDevelop data-driven production forecasting models for improved efficiency.Monitor bottlenecks and capacity constraints, recommending and implementing solutions.Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction through data analysis.Collaborate with quality, operations, and maintenance teams to optimize plant performance.Work cross-functionally with production, IT, procurement, and finance teams to streamline operations. Support training initiatives to enhance team proficiency in production systems, data analytics, and planning tools.
