PETALING JAYA: PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) will be closing all of its Touch 'n Go reload facilities at toll plaza entry lanes beginning Tuesday (Dec 24) to Jan 2 next year.
This is to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Christmas and New Year festive seasons. PLUS added that this practice has been done during festive seasons to reduce traffic congestions caused by customers queuing up to reload at toll plazas.
"To ensure a smooth journey, PLUS advises all customers to plan their journeys ahead and reload their Touch 'n Go cards ahead of time," it said in a statement on Monday . PLUS also said it anticipates traffic congestion to be up by 18% with two million vehicles travelling on the highway, as compared to 1.7 million vehicles on regular days. The highway concessionaire, however, reminded the public that there are some 11,000 top-up kiosks nationwide, including at ATMs, R&R stops, petrol stations, convenient stores, and other locations.
