Police are investigating a string of alleged assaults against women, all possibly related, on the UC Berkeley campus within the last week.
The latest incident, an aggravated assault case, occurred Tuesday morning at approximately 12:23 a.m.
A woman was walking on the west side of the Foothill Complex, a residence hall at 2700 Hearst ave., when the suspect grabbed her from behind and knocked her to the ground, authorities said in a release.Police said this incident “may be related” to two sexual battery cases which were reported on April 5, in the Eucalyptus Grove, and April 9, near Stephens Hall. In both cases, according to police, “the suspect grabbed a female student’s private body parts over their clothing.
Police provided possible photos of the suspects and asked for the public’s help to identify them. Anyone with further information is asked to call 510-642-6760.
