Motorists should plan their routes early, and those travelling in the affected areas are advised to use public transport.
SINGAPORE – Several roads near Parliament House, NUS University Cultural Centre and Singapore Sports Hub will be closed at certain hours from Sept 11 to 14 due to Pope Francis’ visit.
Traffic delays are expected along High Street, Hill Street and North Bridge Road in the vicinity of Parliament House. Those travelling via Supreme Court Lane, St Andrew’s Road, Old Parliament Lane, Connaught Drive and Cole Street, or towards premises such as the Supreme Court, National Gallery Singapore, The Adelphi, The Arts House, Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall, Asian Civilisations Museum and Singapore Cricket Club are advised to enter before or after the period of closure.
