Prepare for Stage 2 loadshedding after hours until Wednesday
The good news is that since Saturday, generation units at Kendal, Komati, Lethabo, Majuba and Matla power stations have come back online. In addition two generation units at Kriel Power Station have come back online.
As of Sunday, 5 487MW of capacity was unavailable due to planned maintenance while 14 061MW of capacity was unavailable due to unplanned breakdowns. These figures have likely shifted since Sunday afternoon so be wary of being lulled into a false sense of security.
