One of the Liars almost got a much different ending.
The Big Picture In the series finale of Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars, we step back into the lives of Aria Montgomery , Hanna Marin , Emily Fields , Alison DiLaurentis , and Spencer Hastings a year after Mary Drake , Jessica DiLaurentis’ twin sister and Spencer’s biological mother, took the fall for the murders of Archer Dunhill and her sister. Without the nefarious A.D. tormenting them for the last year, they moved on with their lives, moving forward to the next phase.

To make things dark and twisted, it could have been Alex living Spencer’s life for that year, stepping into a role at her mother’s law firm, and preparing to celebrate Aria and Ezra’s wedding with her friends.
