Prince William and Kate Middleton Reportedly Had a Secret Pact Before They Got Married
It's hard to imagine Prince William and Kate Middleton as anything other than happily married parents of three adorable kiddos, but once upon a time, not too long ago, a lot of people doubted that they'd even last. After all, they did date for nearly a decade before finally tying the knot in 2011.
When Will wanted to win her back, he took her to the Seychelles off East Africa, where according to a member of their inner circle of friends, they made a pact to be together. In her 2010 book, Nicholl wrote,"William, who had inherited something of his father's fear of commitment, knew he would lose Kate if he could not give her some form of guarantee.
The source told Nicholl,"they didn’t agree to get married there and then" in 2007, but that they did make a pact."William told Kate she was the one but he was not ready to get married," she wrote."He promised her his commitment and said he would not let her down and she in turn agreed to wait for him."
Three years later, William proposed, in October 2010, although they didn't announce it until the next month.
