WP chief Pritam Singh reveals parliamentary questions about Ridout Road state properties; party urges SLA to give more information in advance

SINGAPORE — Workers' Party chief Pritam Singh will be filing parliamentary questions regarding the large bungalows at Ridout Road occupied by Cabinet ministers, with the party on Thursday urging authorities to"release all relevant and material facts in advance" to facilitate a meaningful debate in Parliament.

The Singapore Land Authority had earlier this month confirmed that two bungalows colonial bungalows at Ridout Road were rented by both ministers, and said on May 13 that the ministers haveThe rentals were"performed in full compliance with the relevant SLA procedures", said SLA, which is a statutory board under the Ministry of Law.

The statement added that Mr Singh, who is the Leader of the Opposition, has filed two parliamentary questions about the issue for the next sitting, which is slated to be in July. The questions are directed to the Prime Minister's Office.
