The Mets had a big injury scare down in Double-A Binghamton on Tuesday night.
After crumpling to the ground, Acuña, 21, got up into a crouch and was attended to by the coaching and training staff.
He eventually walked off the field on his own power with bench coach Mariano Duncan and a trainer beside him while he held a towel to his face, which appeared to be bloodied. Mateo Gil entered as a pinch runner and took over at third base, while Jeremiah Jackson shifted over to second base, where Acuña was playing.
