Showers will return for the weekend in the nation's south-east, while another state is set to shiver through multiple cold snaps.
That's the latest forecast from the Bureau of Meterology as a series of troughs cause havoc across multiple states.Rain will return for the weekend in NSW, thanks to a cold front and a trough.Modelling shows the heaviest falls in NSW will occur on Saturday.The weather system will also bring rain to large parts of Victoria, northern South Australia and parts of the Northern Territory.
The forecast comes after parts of Queensland were hit with its heaviest rainfall in decades, transforming the outback.Water has poured into the parched outback. These scenes were captured near Winton, 'the Dinosaur Capital of Australia' in western Queensland. Rain also fell over parts of northern South Australia, with the heaviest rainfall total recorded in Woomera, which saw 68.8 mm fall in 24 hours.'While rain is clearing from SA on Tuesday, some roads will remain closed for days and possibly weeks, with another front likely to deliver more rain on Friday and Saturday," Weatherzone said.
