By implementing the measures proposed in the Bill, Singapore can deter criminal activities and ensure that it remains a secure, trusted and resilient financial hub for future generations, said NMP Razwana Begum Abdul Rahim.

Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday , she stressed the need to reinforce the foundations of the financial system and uphold global standards of transparency and accountability. She also raised concerns that some people may be more easily subject to exploitation or coercion. These include young people, migrant workers, people with disabilities and women. She suggested education campaigns to remind people to be vigilant.
