Watch ReneeZellweger take on the role of iconic actress and singer JudyGarland in the first full trailer for the upcoming biopic 'Judy'
Beginning in the winter of 1968, the film follows Garland as she performs a five-week run of her sold-out concert at The Talk of the Town nightclub in London. The biopic picks up with the late actress and singer 30 years after her career-defining role inas she battles with her management, charms fellow musicians and reminisces with friends and adoring fans about her career. Jand explores Garland's final days before she died of an accidental overdose at the age of 47 in June 1969.
After she is turned away from the hotel, Judy and her young children look for a place to sleep. As Judy takes pills, her daughter asks that she doesn't fall asleep. "These are the other ones," she responds. She is accepts an opportunity to perform at Talk of the Town. "You're saying I have to leave my children if I want to make enough money to be with my children?" she asks before agreeing to the concerts.
The icon's health begins to deteriorate as the trailer continues. Judy performs a rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" as her peers tell her to take better care of herself.
