Former NFL quarterback Brian Griese will leave his job as an analyst on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” to become the 49ers’ quarterbacks coach, according to multiple reports Friday night.
Brian Griese spent an 11-year playing career with the Denver Broncos , Miami Dolphins , Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears . Griese spent two seasons in the ESPN broadcast booth with play-by-play announcer Steve Levy and fellow analyst Louis Riddick. ESPN is reportedly pursuing Fox’s Troy Aikman in an effort to overhaul its “Monday Night Football” broadcast.
