'It's been heartbreaking': Damar Hamlin's uncle says the Bills' player's condition has improved but he's still sedated
Hamlin's marketing representative, tweeted late Monday night that Hamlin's vital signs were back to normal
and he had been placed on a breathing tube, but official news about Hamlin has been sparse. The UC Medical Center did not give updates on his condition Monday or Tuesday and it was hours before the team said early Tuesday morning it was a cardiac arrest. Hamlin's family offered a brief update, asking for prayers and thanking people for their support.
Coley Harvey, a national reporter for SportsCenter and other ESPN platforms, also tweeted an update from Glenn. In that update, Glenn said his nephew had to be resuscitated twice, Harvey reported, once on the field at Paycor Stadium and once after he arrived at the hospital. There is a concern of lung damage, Glenn said.
