A woman was seen dangling over the parapet of a Tengah HDB block on December 1. Rescuers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and the police saved the 30-year-old woman, who was hanging precariously off the edge of the parapet. The incident was captured on video and showed residents screaming and looking up in alarm. The rescuers, wearing masks and gloves, held onto the woman and spoke to her before hoisting her over the parapet to safety.
The police apprehended the woman under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act. She was conveyed conscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital by the SCDF
