A 3D billboard advertising Netflix’s new Resident Evil series features a Licker from the show escaping containment. Based on the iconic video game franchise created by Capcom in the 1990s, Resident Evil is the latest in a string of live-action adaptations and the second-ever television series following 2021's Resident Evil Infinite Darkness.
Advertising its latest original, Netflix has posted a video of a hyper-realistic billboard featuring one of Resident Evil’s many terrifying monsters. Bursting from the side of a building in New York City, the 3D digital billboard shows a mutant human known as a Licker breaking from a containment cell. Crawling across the glass and roaring at passers-by, the video provides another glimpse at the apocalyptic effects of the T-Virus mentioned in past trailers.

Released on July 14, the latest Resident Evil adaptation developed by Andrew Dabb has so far received a mixed reception from fans and critics.
