The body of DeLange Tawone Harris was discovered May 3, 2011, in the Goshen community. A passer-by found him in a ditch and Harris had been shot in the head.
“This case is ongoing and has not or will it ever be forgotten,’’ said Central Alabama Crime Stoppers Executive Director Tony Garret. “Sheriff “Terry” Mears has worked diligently with his investigators to work new leads, gather new evidence, and solicit the FBI for assistance in bring this case to a cose with the person responsible for untimely death.”“Sheriff Mears is pleading with the public to come forward with any and all information if they know something.
Central Alabama Crime Stoppers announced a $5,000 reward to paid within 30 days of an arrest in the case. Another $25,000 will be paid by the family and the Governor’s Office, after the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office at 334-335-4850, or Crime Stoppers at 334-215-STOP or 1-833-AL1-STOP. Tips can also be submitted through the P3-tips app.
