The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) has deployed a Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) C-130 military transport aircraft to the Philippines, to provide airlift support to deliver humanitarian aid supplies to communities affected by Tropical Storm Trami. The deployment is at the request of the Philippines government.

At least 76 people have been killed with tens of thousands displaced from their homes, the AFP reported. Back in August, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam visited Philippines in August at the invitation of Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
