The 30-year-old posted a message on Instagram listing homosexuals as one of the eight groups of people who would go to hell unless they repented.

A rugby player who suggested that gay people “will go to hell” has been fired by the Australian Rugby Union.

However, it appears the latest incident has cost him his job, with New South Wales Waratahs star having his contract terminated by the Australian Rugby Union. Rugby Australia, who on Wednesday had deemed Folau’s post as “unacceptable,” added that it had made repeated attempt to contact the player directly and via his representatives from 6:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday.
