Ruth Langsford will reportedly extend her break from Loose Women after it was claimed Eamonn Holmes was being 'consoled' by a female friend following their split.
The presenter of Loose Women will not be rejoining her co-stars on the show this week amid reports that Eamonn is receiving comfort from a divorcee following their separation. Since the announcement of their divorce, Ruth has been noticeably absent from the ITV panel show, focusing instead on her commitments to QVC, where her wedding ring was still prominently visible.
Just one week after the couple released a surprising joint statement about their split, Eamonn is reportedly finding consolation in his heartache with a blonde divorcee in her forties who works as a relationship counsellor. It's understood that Eamonn and the woman met last year and have since developed a growing friendship.
"Ruth was obviously aware that her marriage was crumbling, but as details emerge, her upset has turned to anger. Eamonn's friend is bowled over by being lavished with attention and kindness from him", a source disclosed to The Sun on Sunday.
