“I tried vocal therapy for about two months, but there was a moment where I couldn’t speak at all and it terrified me. “That was a lot of work and a lot of lemons, but we raised the money in about three weeks,” he recalls. Marino took the time to visit his old schools while he was there, and encourage the kids to welcome difference in a way he was denied. He hopes he is sending the same anti-bullying message with his singing career.
