Joshua Franco fights Jose Burgos in a 10 round super flyweight match as Golden Boy and DAZN present a full card at the Alamodome on Jan. 11, 2020.San Antonio super flyweight champion Joshua Franco and Japan’s Kazuto Ioka have agreed to a title unification bout Dec. 31 in Tokyo, according to published reports.
Franco, 26, hasn’t fought since a convincing unanimous decision over Andrew Maloney in August 2021, the final bout in a three-fight trilogy. Ioka, 33, won his title with a split-decision victory over Donnie Nietes in 2018. He has made five successful title defenses.
