A San Antonio man has pleaded guilty to giving a woman fentanyl and leaving her alone in a hotel room, where she overdosed and died, according to federal authorities.
Patrick James Hall, 28, was charged with the distribution of fentanyl resulting in death. He pleaded guilty on Wednesday and is scheduled to be sentenced on June 15, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
At some point, the woman overdosed on the pill and became unconscious “for an extended period of time,” the release states. “A toxicology report showed that the victim had an amount of fentanyl in her blood that exceeded 24 times a fatal dose,” the release states.
