San Diego police seek public's help in identifying skateboarders connected to Balboa Park attack [Breaking]

A dog walker was struck in the head with two skateboards during an attack in Balboa Park last month, and police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the assailants.

Authorities said a 24-year-old dog walker and his friend were walking a dog when a group of 100 to 200 skateboarders entered the park for a national “Go Skateboarding Day” event, police said.One of the skateboarders told the dog walker and his friend to leave the park because of the event. The man and his friend refused.

They caught up with the dog walker and struck him over the head with the boards, knocking him unconscious, authorities said.The dog walker, who suffered a cut to the back of his head, was taken to a hospital for treatment.Police described the first assailant a young man, around 18 years old, with a medium build and curly blonde and brown hair. He was wearing a black and gray hooded sweater with the word “Baja” printed on it, cutoff blue jean shorts.
