The mayoral contest won’t be decided until November 2024, but Mayor London Breed and challenger Ahsha Safai’s fingerprints will be all over San Franciscans’ March ballots. The mayor and Board of Supervisors are jockeying to spiff up their resumes while taking shots at one another along the way.

Breed is emphatically backing a March ballot measure that would roll back the police department’s policy on car chases, first set a decade ago by the Police Commission.
