Former British Lord Mayor of Westminster Duncan Sandys formally invited the Carl Sandburg High School band to participate in London’s 2024 New Year’s Day Parade.
The Sandburg band belted out some songs during the ceremony for its official invitation for the Eagles to march in London's New Year's Day Parade.Former British Lord Mayor of Westminster Duncan Sandys was in Sandburg’s Performing Arts Center to formally invite the Eagles marching band to perform in London’s 2024 New Year’s Day Parade.Before extending the invitation, he listened as the band played a few songs, including “Land of 1,000 Dances” and the Sandburg school song.
“The parade has a whole network of scouts,” he said. “The scouts find them and we want the best of the best on the streets of London and here we are at Carl Sandburg High School and this is one of the best of the best.” Members of Sandburg’s band react to the official invitation to march in the London New Year’s Day Parade.
