“I was single, obviously, and was like, ‘This is really awesome. You’re being very forward,” she said at the time. “But very confident and sexy, and I liked that.” Hyland later credited Adams for helping her cope with with kidney dysplasia, a debilitating illness that once led her to contemplate suicide.
