'What has happened is something that all of us did not want to see happen.'

KUCHING, April 6 — State Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Karim Rahman Hamzah today called for a stop to accusations against a Covid-19 patient who did not disclose a visit to Italy after returning to the country.

“I wish to state here that the pandemic does not choose its victims based on race or religion. What has happened is something that all of us did not want to see happen,” he said. “If a person knows that he or she has the virus, I am sure that they will not get to work in the office.“If he knew he was a positive case for coronavirus, he would not have come for a meeting on March 27 on the food supply chain committee,” he said.
