TR100 is scheduled to depart Singapore on Aug 30 at 5.15am. The e-mail was meant to inform passengers about new travel requirements for the flight. A spokesperson for the airline said in a statement that Scoot is investigating the matter and will provide an update on the findings when possible. "For now, it has been established that there was no data breach or leak of personal information," said the budget arm of Singapore Airlines.
The spokesperson added that"many" individuals received the e-mail erroneously, although it did not specify a number.
