Katie Holmes took her new curtain bangs out for a spin in New York City on October 23rd. The new fringe takes a leaf out of the French girl playbook.
Last month, Katie Holmes ushered in autumn with a brand new set of curtain bangs. The hairstyle equivalent of that viral Khaite cashmere bra-and-cardigan combo she became instantly synonymous with when she wore it back in 2019, and the fringe looks effortlessly cool on Holmes. It emerged in a more formal setting on Monday, when Holmes stepped out to celebrate her friend Melissa DeRosa’s new book.
With her long, brunette hair styled with a gentle wave, Holmes wore her boho new fringe parted in the middle. Loose, natural and undone, it’s a classic example of a French-girl fringe done right. Considering taking the plunge yourself? Hairstylist Larry King previously told Vogue that the key to nailing the look is to “balance the edges of the fringe and overall length of the hair”, he said.
