Crash shuts down Route 11 in Cumberland County
Jenna Wise | [email protected] Cumberland County spokeswoman said both south and northbound sides of Route 11 are closed in Silver Spring Township between Hempt Road and North Locust Point Road.
The highway will be closed for an “extended period of time,” and drivers are asked to avoid the area, the county spokeswoman said. The extent of injuries was not immediately clear. Silver Spring Township police said the crash was a “serious accident.”This map shows the general stretch of Carlisle Pike that is closed due to the crash:
