A San Francisco man is recovering from his injuries after he was shot multiple times attempting to stop people breaking into his car on Tuesday night, according to police.
The San Francisco Police Department on Wednesday said that the 52-year-old security guard was hospitalized after sustaining injuries that weren't considered life-threatening.One of them, officials told the outlet, shot the security guard multiple times on the 1200 Block of Shotwell Street in the Mission District just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police said the man was working nearby when he noticed the suspects breaking into his car and approached them. The department told KPIX that one of the suspects shot the man after he tried stopping them. San Francisco police said anyone with information can call 415-575-4444, or text a message beginning with"SFPD" to TIP411.
