By being clever with your accrued holidays, you can maximise your time off
Even those who love their jobs need to take a break every now and then, and as we're now well into the second half of the year, some people may be making plans for 2025. For those whose annual leave begins on January 1, this means a brand new batch of time off as next year begins. Some people will use their accrued time off to go away with family, others may chill out with friends, or even enjoy some alone time.
Then, in April, you can take a huge 16 days off with just eight days of leave. You'll need to book off April 14, 15, 16, and 17, and April 22, 23, 24, and 25, and this will see you off from Saturday, April 12, through to and including Sunday, April 27. That's because Easter falls on Sun April 20 so we have bank holidays on Friday April 19 and Monday April 21. May's two bank holidays the offers two separate opportunities to extend your weekends into substantial breaks.
